Boston 16 May 1780. Received of S.Shaw Two hundred Dollars in full for one months advance wages as a servant to Gen. Knox - and I hereby engage myself to ...go on to the Head Quarters of the Army with Mr. Shaw and serve in the family of Genl. Knox one year from the date here of at the aforesaid rate of 200 dollars per month -
